Lyuboslav Penev is number five (36 Goals)

For 10 years, the Bulgarian attacker played in Spain's La Liga. He was a member of four different teams throughout his time in the country. Valencia was his most effective individual spell. However, the striker's two Spanish titles came while he was with Atletico Madrid. Penev won both the league and the Copa del Rey in 1995-96.

Lyuboslav Penev was a great Bulgarian striker. He influenced many of the country's best forwards, most notably Hristo Stoichov. He scored 109 goals in 259 La Liga appearances. 36 of the blows were direct hits.

Ronald Koeman is number four (45 Goals)

The Dutch defender is regarded as one of the top penalty takers of all time. Koeman, who plays in the center of the defense, is a strong goal threat. Barcelona, led by Johan Cruyff, depended heavily on the Netherlands international.

Ronald Koeman possessed great set piece talents. He was the club's primary free-kick taker during his stint in Barcelona. He became the team's penalty specialist as a result of his ability. The defender scored 67 goals in the league, 45 of which came from penalty kicks. He is also La Liga's leading scorer from the 12-yard line.

Hugo Sanchez is third (56 Goals)

Hugo Sanchez is one of the few footballers in history to have played for both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. But he had the most success with the Los Blancos.

Hugo Sanchez guided Real Madrid to five consecutive league victories. He scored 164 goals for his club in La Liga. The Mexican also had an astounding number of goals for Atletico Madrid. He has 54 goals in 115 outings.

He also played for Rayo Vallecano in the league. During his 10-year spell in Spain, the Mexican scored 234 goals. He also scored 56 goals from the penalty spot.

Messi, Lionel (60 Goals)

Next on the list is the Argentine superstar, probably the greatest player in football history. The striker scored 60 goals from the penalty spot. This is one strike short of the league record.

Lionel Messi is La Liga's all-time leading goal scorer. He has 474 goals in 520 games. Furthermore, the Argentine holds the competition record for most assists. He accomplished these milestones while playing for Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo, No. 1 (61 Goals)

The Portuguese have the most penalty goals in La Liga. Ronaldo is widely recognized as one of the finest penalty takers of all time. Given his stellar track record on the field, it's difficult to disagree. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored 61 goals from the penalty spot in 71 attempts.

Cristiano Ronaldo was a Real Madrid player until joining Juventus in 2018. He has scored the second most goals in La Liga history. He is also Real Madrid's all-time best goal scorer.
