THERE'S NO FOOD SHORTAGE IN GHANA?MINISTER

Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the Clergyman for Food and Horticulture, has repeated that there is no food deficiency in Ghana.

 

"There is no food deficiency in Ghana as is being estimated, the food circumstances in the districts are sufficient proof, but we perceive that food is generally costly because of outer variables".

 

The Clergyman expressed, expansion in costs of food items were not a direct result of Ghana government's strategies, but rather outside variables like addition of imported synthetics and other outer elements unchangeable as far as they might be concerned.

 

Tending to staff of MOFA and ranchers in the Eastern Area as a feature of his authority visit, he guaranteed that in spite of the outer elements out of hand, the public authority was founding measures to cut down cost of creation to relieve impact on customers.

 

"We are empowering ranchers to change to natural manures created locally to lessen the effect of manure deficiency on food creation and encouraged the far west to switch rapidly to the utilization of fertilizer.

Sahmens ranches were into coconut seedlings developing, snail cultivating, poultry, coconut oil palm handling and an improvement of neighborhood resort.

 

The group finished the visit at the Complete Quality (TQ) ranches possessed by a female Caterer, at Akim Krodua, Adeiso in the Upper West Akim Region, and Dr Akoto was given a reference of appreciation.

 

Mrs Diana Nartey, CEO of TQ ranches introduced the reference to him for his immense commitment to the development, quality, strength, and progress of the monetary and agrarian area of the Republic of Ghana.

 

Dr Akoto offered thanks to TQ Homesteads for the reference.

 

He said his visit to certain homesteads during his visit through the Districts saw that the nation was very much loaded of food and the information that were introduced by the territorial directorates of Horticulture, support the view that Ghana has a solid powerful farming framework which have been started by Planting for Food and Occupations.
