Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, believes Newcastle will change the Premier League's "Big Six" into a "Big Seven.
Last month, the American completed his £4.25 billion buy of Chelsea and has been assessing the English football scene.
The Blues are one of the "Big Six" clubs, along with Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Arsenal.
However, with Newcastle's Saudi ownership, Boehly believes it is only a matter of time before the Toon reach the Premier League's elite.
Despite Man City and Liverpool's recent domination, as well as Newcastle's enormous wealth, Boehly believes that each team will have chances to win.
He remarked yesterday at the SuperReturn International private equity conference in Berlin, "The big six will become the big seven with the Saudi deal for Newcastle."
There will be opportunities for everyone to win."
Boehly also believes that the Premier League has the potential to become even more profitable, saying, "They don't realize how huge their opportunity is."
Let us seize control of our destiny and consider how to optimize it."
After the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, the Blues are expected to spend heavily on reinforcements this summer, notably in defense.
Jules Kounde and Milan Skriniar have been connected with Thomas Tuchel's side.
They are also aiming to strengthen their offense, with Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele on their radar.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund owns 80% of Newcastle.
The club was in grave relegation jeopardy under Steve Bruce when the controversial new owners arrived at St James' Park.
They promptly fired Bruce after one match, before spending big in January on Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Bruno Guimaraes, and Dan Burn.
Newcastle United have made Matt Targett's loan from Aston Villa permanent for a fee of £15 million.
