Manager of Scottish Premiership prodigy Matthew Anim Cudjoe, Sammy Anim Addo has called on the handlers of the senior national team the prospect of adding the young midfielder to the Black Stars en route to Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Anim Addo, praised the qualities of the midfielder during stint with local side Asante Kotoko and current team, Dundee United.
“Matthew is playing at the top level, so if Matthew says he can play in the Black Stars, I don't think there's a problem.
Everything is possible under this sun. And we say never say never, that is the place we have.
He has that confidence and he's playing at the top level in Europe. He played against Rangers, he was a starter”, he lamented.
Anim Addo, further elaborated on special qualities that uniquely identifies his player as one ready for Black Stars chance.
“Over the years we have seen players who have not even played in any premier league and they're playing in the lower league and they are called.
And Matthew when it comes to confidence and that temperament he's the best, 15years he played for Asante Kotoko and he changed the entire game.
We should remember that game.
This young boy was coming and people were even afraid, rather the boy comes and he dictates the entire game and everything went in favour of Kotoko.
He has the temperament too and is such people who can wear the national team jersey, is not everybody who can.
So if he's been able to do that, and he's now playing in Europe’s top league, the Scottish Premiership and he's started a game and all that.
Why should we say that he doesn't deserve it? He deserves it”.
