Over the weekend on the popular “United showbiz” show hosted by Vicky Zugah, guests invited were well-known tiktokers like Asantewaa, Wesley Kesse, Erkuah official, and Jacqueline Mensah. The show was an interesting one and they revealed a whole lot of things to Ghanaians and musicians to be precise.
Ghanaian Tiktok star Martina Dwamena popularly known as Asantewaa and her fellow tiktokers have given tips to musicians on how to promote their music using their(tiktok stars) platforms.
According to them, an artist can never get a viral or got song if they don't pay tiktokers to feature their songs in their videos. Tik Tok is gradually becoming one of the most interesting Apps with millions of users.
‘If you are an artist, your craft doesn’t matter again’ because according to Asantewaa, until you pay TikTokers to promote your song, you will be singing it alone.
Her revelation has caused a stir online and most users agree with her. Most of the viral and hit songs today reached such audiences through tik tok and here in Ghana, the most influential tiktokers are Asantewaa, Erkuah official, Jacqueline Mensah, Wesley kesse, and others. Paying them to feature your song in their videos will make your song a hit.
Asantewaa was speaking on UTV with Hajia Bintu, Wesley Kesse, Jacqueline Mensah, Felicia Osei, and Erkuah Official as they appeared on Saturday Night’s United Showbiz show.
Commenting about their career as TikTok influencers, Asantewaa admitted that they are hotcakes now with so many calls coming to them lately seeking one promo or the other.
“That’s why I say that now it doesn’t matter how long you have played your music game,” she said.
“When you drop a song now it is not about your craft unless you bring it to us, if not you will have to sing your song,” and Kesse hilariously added, “we are the board of directors, you have to bring it to us”. She continued.
It’s no news that any music that drops on tiktok trends becomes an automatic hit within a few weeks.
