After finishing his contract at Chelsea, ANTONIO RUDIGER has been officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player.
After rejecting to prolong his stay at Stamford Bridge, the 29-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract at the Bernabeu until 2026.
Antonio Rudiger has been introduced as Real Madrid's new signing.
Rudiger, a German defender, had his medical in Madrid on Monday.
Rudiger has signed a contract extension with Los Blancos until 2026 after his Chelsea contract expired.
Despite the fact that the trade was disclosed over a fortnight ago, the centre-back had to wait until the international break ended before completing his paperwork.
Rudiger then flew to Spain for his physical after representing Germany in their Nations League group matches.
He was shown to the media at the club's training site after passing his usual checks at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital.
Rudiger appeared with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, holding a Real shirt. Isco's No22 will be filled by the ex-Blues player.
"It's a very important day for all of us, but especially for me," the ex-Roma star told reporters during his unveiling.
"I'd like to express my gratitude to my parents, because I would not be here if it weren't for them."
They have always been supportive of me, which has been crucial throughout my life.
"I'd also like to express my gratitude to Real Madrid's president for providing me with the opportunity to play for such a prestigious club.
"I can assure you that I will put everything I have into this club. I want us to win as many championships as possible. Nothing else but Hala Madrid!"
President Perez continued, " "Today, Real Madrid welcomes one of the best defenders in the world. Antonio, you are now a member of a one-of-a-kind club and family." We're ecstatic to have a player like you on board who has worked tirelessly to make this day a reality." Your career has given you the opportunity to select between the large clubs, and you've chosen this shield to give you the strength to do what others feel is impossible.
Rudiger recently stated that joining Los Blancos on a free transfer was the "greatest" milestone of his career. Rudiger is expected to earn roughly £315,000 per week during his stay in Madrid.
