The Gunners are ready to take a step back in their pursuit of the Leicester City midfielder as they close in on other targets.
Arsenal have cooled their interest in Youri Tielemans in order to complete their acquisition of Gabriel Jesus.
Tielemans, a midfielder for Leicester City, was one of the club's main objectives during the transfer season and was projected to cost roughly £25 million ($30.5 million).
However, GOAL has been informed that the Gunners have stepped back in their pursuit of the 25-year-old in order to complete other signings this summer, notably that of long-term target Jesus.
Tielemans' contract at Leicester expires in a year, and Arsenal has been in talks with his representation about a possible summer move.
The Belgium international has already stated that if the perfect opportunity presented itself, he would be open to leaving the King Power Stadium this summer.
However, it appears that a prospective move to Emirates Stadium has been put on hold for the time being as Arsenal focuses on other prospects.
Are Arsenal interested in signing Gabriel Jesus?
Arsenal is still interested in Brazilian combo Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha.
Negotiations with Manchester City over Jesus have reached a key juncture, and both sides are hopeful that an agreement will be made soon for the striker, who City values at roughly £30 million.
GOAL has heard that Jesus' advisors are currently traveling to England in an attempt to expedite the deal.
The Gunners are also interested in bringing Leeds winger Raphinha to north London and feel they can do so if Barcelona do not revive their interest in the 25-year-old.
Arsenal's Fabio Vieira is about to be announced.
Arsenal have already strengthened their midfield options this summer with the signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto.
The 22-year-old arrived in London on Friday to get a medical and finalize the paperwork for his £30 million ($37 million) transfer.
Arsenal hopes to announce Vieira's signing within the next 48 hours.

An opening letter to Tuchel
Since your appointment as Chelsea's head coach on January 25, 2021, you have been a revelation. In the words of a famous figure, "you brought us out of s**t." We were mired in ninth position, with a shattered dressing room and no idea if there was really a route out.
You demonstrated that there was an alternative and improved several aspects of the squad. Many people thought your predecessor could have done it if he had been given more time. When you arrived, you stated that the league was unreachable, but that the Champions League was still well within our grasp and that we would strive for it. You kept your pledge and secured the Champions League title.
You offered previously frozen-out guys chances, and they thrived. You handled the tricky circumstance of having a world-record £72 million second-choice goalkeeper admirably. You adapted the system to accommodate a variety of players and always picked what was best for the squad. Almost at every turn.
You led Chelsea through a takeover and were the voice of certainty and logic when there were many rumors and speculations about the club. You made a commitment to CFC during a time when many people did not want to be affiliated with the club. You even endeared yourself to the fans to the point where many of them regarded you as Chelsea's best head coach to date, even surpassing Jose Mourinho.
