Mikel Arteta wants to improve his attacking line with a new number nine and a wide player, and Arsenal are expected to spend more than the £150 million they spent last summer during this year's transfer window. Marquinhos from Sao Paulo and Matt Turner from the New England Revolution have joined the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta's renovation is continuing, with additional players anticipated to come before the August 31 deadline. The Gunners are poised to spend a combined £90 million to acquire Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus and Leeds United's Raphinha, with FC Porto's Fabio Vieira expected to be the next player through the door.

Since the start of the summer, Jesus has been Arteta's main goal, with Arsenal engaging intensive conversations with their Premier League opponents. The Brazilian international is eager to move to north London, but the two teams have yet to agree on a fee.

According to Goal, Arsenal has increased their first £30 million offer and is seeking to achieve an agreement as soon as possible. Jesus' representatives have arrived in England to push the transaction further, with crucial talks scheduled for this week.

After seeing his team struggle for goals last season, the Gunners manager has made improving his front line a priority this summer. For the time being, Eddie Nketiah is the club's only recognized striker, with Jesus anticipated to enter the fray in the following weeks.

Arteta's eagerness to reinforce his offensive is unlikely to cease with Jesus' capture. Arsenal is also rumored to be interested in Raphinha. The Leeds winger is set to quit the club before the start of the new season and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

Due to their debilitating financial troubles, the Premier League club's £50 million valuation has put a halt to Barcelona's interest. Arsenal have already surpassed the Spanish heavyweights and moved to the front of the queue for the Brazil international, according to The Times.

The north Londoners are thought to be in in contact with Leeds' management, hoping to achieve an arrangement as soon as possible. Leeds want more than £50 million for the Brazilian, but it is unclear whether Arsenal will meet their assessment of the winger, who scored 11 league goals last season.

Raphinha's initial option is supposed to be Barcelona, although he is suspicious of their capacity to finance the transfer. Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have also made inquiries, but talks are thought to be in the early stages, as opposed to Arsenal, which is pushing the hardest.
