In 2021-22, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Tottenham's Son Heung-min shared the Premier League Golden Boot, but Erling Haaland, Darwin Nunez, Harry Kane, and Cristiano Ronaldo will put them to the test if they want to defend their title in 2022-23.

Manchester City have spent a lot of money on a talented Norwegian striker, while a five-time Ballon d'Or winner at Manchester United, although being 37 years old, can never be counted off.

Various other attackers from throughout the English Premier League will believe they are capable of consistently delivering in the last third of the field, putting them in contention for a coveted award, but who are the favorites to win the top scorer award? GOAL investigates...

Who do you think will win the Golden Boot in the Premier League in 2022-23?

Given his heroics at Borussia Dortmund, where he found the target on 86 occasions in 89 outings, Haaland is the 7/2 (4.5) favourite to win the Golden Boot in 2022-23.

Salah, Liverpool's Egyptian king, is a close second at 9/2 (5.5), with the model of consistency in the scoring stakes at Anfield seeking to finish as the top scorer.

Kane, the talisman of Tottenham Hotspur, has three prior victories under his belt, and the England captain is 6/1 (7.0) to add to his tally during a season that will also see him compete for global glory at the World Cup finals in Qatar.

Icon of Portugal Last season, Ronaldo scored 24 goals in all competitions for Manchester United, and he is 10/1 (11.0) to win the Premier League Golden Boot for the second time in his incredible career – and the first since 2007-08.

Spurs' Son is available at the same price after scoring a league-high 23 goals in 2021-22, while Liverpool's new kid Nunez is a 12/1 (13.0) shot as he attempts to repay the Reds' £64 million ($79 million) investment.

Who are the Golden Boot contenders for the Premier League in 2022-23?

Romelu Lukaku may not be at Chelsea for much longer, as Inter are preparing a loan deal that will send him back to Serie A, but the Belgian striker is currently set at 20/1 (21.0) to win the Golden Boot.

Diogo Jota has been a revelation for Liverpool, but he'll have to up his game again if he wants to beat the odds of 25/1 (26.0) to end as the Premier League's top scorer.

Gabriel Jesus is 25/1 (26.0) to rediscover his shooting boots in the English Premier League in 2022-23, whether at Manchester City or Arsenal, and the Brazil international is also 25/1 (26.0) to do so in style.

Julian Alvarez, an exciting Argentine forward, is the same price to make an early impact at defending champions City, with Jamie Vardy, a long-serving Leicester great, another option at 25/1. (26.0).

With the odds pushed out to 33/1 (34.0), Liverpool winger Luis Diaz may be supported to have a breakout season as he attempts to fill the void left by Bayern Munich-bound Sadio Mane.

Who are the outsiders for the Golden Boot in the Premier League in 2022-23?

Last season, Aleksandar Mitrovic broke a Premier League scoring record with 43 goals for Fulham, but the Serbian striker has only 14 Premier League goals to his name from two previous appearances at that level and is 40/1 (41.0) to disturb the top of a major scoring chart.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton, who could be on the move before the next transfer deadline, is another option at that price. Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz,Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City and Patrick Bamford of Leeds United.

A handful of players are priced at 50/1 (51.0) to surprise and challenge for the Golden Boot, with Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka and Manchester City star Raheem Sterling - who continues to pique Chelsea's interest – leading the way.

No.9 Newcastle United Callum Wilson, Richarlison of Everton, Ivan Toney of Brentford, and West Ham wideman Jarrod Bowen all have the same ranking.

Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United is another 50/1 (51.0) bet as he looks to rekindle his career at Old Trafford, while Raphinha of Leeds and Chelsea striker Timo Werner round out the list.
