Ronaldo and Marcelo's bond is well-known, and they are tight, but it wasn't always like this.

Within minutes of their introduction, Ronaldo wrapped his hand around the Brazilian player's neck. But what went wrong? Today, I'd like to explain.
Brazil faced Portugal in a match in 2008 that was regarded as a must-win encounter. Brazil was suffering in front of goal at the time, having failed to score in five of their previous seven matches.
Because of the high level of competition, the match was predicted to be the most heated of the year.
Kaka, who had won the Golden Ball the year before, was up against the guy who was expected to succeed him.
Ronaldo was in fine form for Manchester United, having scored 42 goals in 49 matches and winning the Champions League.
The competition was heightened by the fact that Marcelo was an up-and-coming winger who was set to play on the same wing as Ronaldo.
Marcelo needs to be at his best in order to impress everyone.
The match got begun, and Ronaldo couldn't put on a show, and Marcelo wasn't in the starting eleven either.
Brazil led 2-1 after the halftime break, and they scored three more goals before the 70th minute. Ronaldo's head had disintegrated, and he was shooting from bizarre angles.
Finally, the frustration was vented on Thiago Silva, who came dangerously close to colliding with Ronaldo.
"Ronaldo is a vicious guy, and if I hadn't jumped out of the way, he would have broken my leg," Thiago explained. We snuffed him out of the game, so he just lost it."
Marcelo was put into the game in the final ten minutes, and Ronaldo was at Marcelo's throat before Brazil could score another goal and condemn Portugal to a 6-2 defeat.
"Ronaldo was out of order and had a big mouth," Marcelo remarked. He shoved me off the ball and then tried to start a brawl about it."
You wouldn't have guessed they'd become so close if you'd watched the footage live. At Real Madrid, Ronaldo and Marcelo won four Champions Leagues, two La Liga titles, two Copa Del Ray titles, and three Fifa World Club Championships.
