12 communities in the Ashanti Region will fight it for a definitive award in the current year's AshantiFest Cup 2021/Community Soccer being coordinated by MTN.
The opposition shapes part of exercises to stamp the AshantiFest festivities this month.
As per the coordinators, the occasion is pointed toward compensating clients in the locale for their devotion and backing of MTN throughout the long term.
" This opposition frames part of the Ashantifest 2022 exercises and it is our approach to fulfilling and drawing in with our esteemed clients inside and around the Ashanti Region for their persistent help to the MTN brand,".
Talking at the virtual send off of the MTN Ghana 2022 AshantiFest, the General Manager of Northern Business District MTN Ghana, Nii Adotey Mingle said, "The MTN AshantiFest Cup 2021/Community Soccer was whenever networks first had taken part in a soccer competition as part the Ashanti fest exercises.
"This year will be the subsequent time running and the opposition has been extended to account for additional networks to take part. They incorporate Asokore Mampong, Dichemso, Bantama and Asafo. The other contending groups are Tech, Abrepo, Suame, Asokwa, Aboabo, Tafo, Fante New Town and Kotei Deduako
"The last of the AshantiFest Cup will be played on 26th June 2022 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. There would be monetary rewards, broadcast appointment and keepsakes for the champs and extraordinary players".
The 12 groups partaking in the opposition will all get an appearance charge of GHc 1,000 each.
The victor of the opposition will bring back home GHc, 20,000, a prize, decorations, broadcast appointment and an appearance charge of Ghc 1,000.
The next in line brings back home GHc 10,000, awards, broadcast appointment and an appearance charge of GHc 1,000.
