Jurgen Klopp has faith in Liverpool's foursome as the Reds make plans for Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool have completed their business early in the summer transfer window and appear content to keep their current midfield for another year before bringing in Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool have made three signings in the early stages of the summer transfer window and are said to be content with that.

The Reds have been extremely busy in recent weeks, arranging for the arrivals of Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, and Calvin Ramsey. Nunez is undoubtedly the most notable signing, with Liverpool agreeing to pay Benfica a fee that could eventually total £85 million, while Carvalho and Ramsey are both exciting young prospects.

Liverpool have conducted their business efficiently and promptly, as fans have come to expect in recent years. The methodical and concise approach to transfers demonstrated by the arrivals of Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate last season instills confidence in the newcomers.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the club is now satisfied with their roster and has no plans to add any new players this summer. Of course, with 73 days until the transfer window closes on September 1, that stance could change, but it provides clarity on Jurgen Klopp's pre-season plans.

It also means that Liverpool's midfield will be the same as it was last season for the 2022/23 season. Klopp will have James Milner, who has signed a new one-year contract, as well as Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Harvey Elliott, and Curtis Jones at his disposal.

The only player who remains in doubt is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 28-year-old had a difficult season in 2021/22, but Liverpool intend to keep him despite his limited impact last season and the fact that he is entering the final year of his contract.

Supporters have called for Liverpool to strengthen their central midfield options this summer, and the club has considered doing so. The Reds were interested in signing Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni before Real Madrid blew them out of the water by offering the French club around £68 million (€80 million) and a six-year contract to the 22-year-old.

It now appears that Liverpool and Klopp are content to stick with what they have in central midfield for another season before making a move in a year's time. The Sun claims that they are willing to wait for the right player, which they believe is Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool's top-tier midfielders emerged at the tail end of last season, when the club was still chasing the quadruple. Fabinho, Thiago, and Henderson were critical to their success, and injuries to the Brazilian and Spaniard became a major concern.

The fact that Klopp is content with his back-up options, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita, Milner, and Jones, suggests that he is willing to wait another summer rather than spend big on reinforcements. Both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita are nearing the end of their current contracts, so they will be playing for their futures in the team.

Elliott and former Fulham star Carvalho can both play in a midfield three, giving Klopp more options. When Klopp's preferred trio is rested or injured, the aforementioned foursome will have to shoulder the majority of the workload.
