Mikel Arteta is looking for a striker to replace Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Manchester City's 25-year-old striker is widely thought to be at the top of his list. Conte, on the other hand, is reportedly eager to get one over on Spurs' north London rivals after beating them to a top four finish in the Premier League table last season. It comes as Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino reveals his midfield plans following the signing of Brighton's Yves Bissouma.

In addition, Spurs may have an advantage over Arsenal in the race to sign Ajax center-back Lisandro Martinez.

Spurs and Arsenal are both interested in signing Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is hoping to beat the Gunners to the Brazilian, and that the prospect of playing in the Champions League next season will help him do so. Conte admires Jesus' versatility, as the Brazilian is equally at home on the wing as he is in the center of the field.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte will have a plethora of midfield talent at his disposal next season.

New signee At the north London club, Yves Bissouma joins Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Pape Matar Sarr, and Harry Winks. According to football.london, the arrival of the Mali international could result in the departure of Winks, leaving five players competing for two spots in Conte's starting XI.

While Bissouma, Bentancur, and Hojbjerg are expected to compete for those two spots, Conte has high hopes for Skipp and reportedly sees him as a "top Premier League midfielder" in the future. Meanwhile, Conte will evaluate Sarr during pre-season to determine whether he needs more time to adjust to life in England or if he would benefit from another loan spell after spending last year at Metz.

Lisandro Martinez of Ajax has already clashed with Arsenal star Reiss Nelson, according to reports linking the Argetine to a summer move to either the Gunners or Tottenham.
Nelson was on loan with Feyenoord at the time of the incident. According to London, the pair "got up close and personal in a disagreement."

If the duo are unable to put that aside ahead of a potential move to north London, Spurs may gain an advantage in the race to sign the Ajax center-back.
