Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has responded to allegations made by the National Cathedral Secretariat that the program is a government enterprise.
The MP said that integrated paperwork of the company [National Cathedral] available to him revealed that it was enrolled as a private corporation in a post on his Facebook page.
Following the recent data, a leading member of Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee has called on Christians to fast and pray for 40 days to rid President Nana Akufo-Addo of what he calls a "cathedral of lies."
Another disturbing misinformation we've discovered is that, while the news report claims that the National Cathedral of Ghana is a "state-owned company" and thus a "public and not a private" entity, the business registration records we have show that the National Cathedral of Ghana is registered as "private" (see evidence attached).
The number of lies, misrepresentations, opacity, lawlessness, and outright corruption linked with this cathedral project is now endless.
As Mr. Ablakwa stated on his Facebook page, "Christians in Ghana may have to proclaim a 40-day severe fasting and prayer to purge and rescue Akufo-drowning Addo's cathedral of falsehoods." It will be noted that the National Cathedral Secretariat published a statement in which it was questioned whether the Cathedral was a public or private institution.
Following more deliberation, three key reasons were identified as the basis for the projects: a gesture of appreciation; a sign of Christian presence and service to the nation; and a personal vow to God.
