Liverpool are planning Naby Keita swap after Jurgen Klopp was 'prone to be affected' by the £77 million midfielder
Liverpool have already signed three new players and are being linked with a fourth.
Liverpool have been linked with another signing, this time through a'swap deal' in which Naby Keita would leave the club.
The Reds have already been active in the transfer market this summer, adding three new players to their squad. Deals for Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, and Calvin Ramsay were all completed before the end of June.
And, according to a new Italian report, Liverpool may make a move for a new midfielder. Supporters have been speculating about the possibility of strengthening the park's middle.
Jurgen Klopp is interested in Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella, according to Calciomercato. According to the report, the Reds will make a firm approach to sign the Italy international.
According to the report, Klopp is "bewitched" by Barella, who is worth around £77 million. Furthermore, it is reported that Liverpool would be willing to include Keita in a swap deal for the 25-year-old.
Despite these rumours, Ramsay's arrival is expected to conclude the Reds' incoming summer business. The club believes that by signing the defender, as well as Nunez and Carvalho, they have obtained exactly what they felt they needed and wanted.
Liverpool's transfer priority for summer 2023 is currently a new midfielder, with Jude Bellingham being mentioned to be of interest .
Inter Milan midfielder Nicol Barella is being linked with a move to Liverpool, as was the case last summer, and there is plenty to like about the 25-year-old Italy international.
According to FBref, the most stylistically similar players to the Inter man are Bernardo Silva, lkay Gündoan, and Frenkie de Jong. Kevin de Bruyne is the third most similar player.
Off the ball, Barella ranks seventh in terms of pressures and tenth in terms of interceptions. He performs slightly better in tackles and aerial duels, but he is still not the best fit in those situations.
That could be due to a stylistic difference between Inter and Liverpool, and he could improve in those numbers under Jürgen Klopp, but it does not look good on paper.
