Manchester United great Gary Pallister has assured his former team that signing Christian Eriksen alongside Frenkie de Jong should be no problem.
After excelling with Brentford on his January return, the playmaker is a free agent this summer. United have made an offer to the Dane, with Erik ten Hag anxious to sign him.
Tottenham and former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte were both impressed by Eriksen's remarkable recovery from his on-field cardiac arrest during Euro 2020. However, it appears that Spurs have not pursued their interest in the midfielder, leaving the door open for United.
With Bruno Fernandes also playing attacking midfield, some observers believe his arrival will cause problems for Ten Hag. Both players will desire regular game time and, if they play together, may leave United exposed at the base of midfield, which De Jong would occupy if signed.
However, in an interview with the Metro, Pallister stated that the more quality players United has in their team, the better. "If they can get their hands on him, I think it's a no-brainer," he remarked.
Hopefully his medical concerns have been resolved; we saw in his position for Brentford last season that he still has incredible potential, and on a free transfer, it's a no-brainer.
You question how it would work with Bruno Fernandes at the club, but Erik ten Hag will have to answer that. However, I don't believe you can ever have too many quality players on your team.

This summer, United are prioritizing midfield additions, with De Jong being Ten Hag's prime goal. Pallister stated that he hopes the club can "close the deal" since "midfield has been an issue of worry.
