The National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, aims to instil civic principles in beauty pageant participants in order to attain the goal of 'Beauty with Civic Values.'
Because of the effect beauty competitors have on their fans and the role they play in society, the programme has become vital to the Commission.
NCCE and the Miss Ghana Foundation have agreed to work together for two years to provide civic education classes to young girls competing in the Miss Ghana Pageant.

This effort has already helped the 2022 Contestants, and the Commission expects that these young ladies will go on to become civic ambassadors, promoting civic education and influencing a civic-minded society.
Ms. Kathleen Addy, Chairperson of NCCE, was a Special Guest and Facilitator at the 2022 Miss Ghana Contestants' first training in Accra.
She was enthusiastic about the partnership and believed that the commission would influence young women to support NCCE's efforts to provide effective civic education in Ghana.
Ms. Addy walked the participants through the country's principles, encouraging them to be strong, positive women. Ms. Kathleen Addy then handed the Miss Ghana Foundation and the candidates with copies of Ghana's 1992 Constitution, instructing them to put the copies to good use.

The candidates were introduced on the first day of the three-day training.

The National Anthem and the National Pledge have to be learned and sung in full stanzas by the contestants.
Miss Ghana contestants will be tested on these topics, and the NCCE will take them on a field trip to basic schools to see how the NCCE conducts civic education in Ghana.

The Managing Director of Exclusive Events, Ms. Inna Patty, the Commission Secretary of NCCE, Mr. Tito Voegborlo, Mrs. Lucille Hewlett Annan of the Commission Secretary's Office, and the RTI Office were all present for the training.
Mrs. Joyce Afutu, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs, and Dr. Imrana Mohammed, Acting Director of Programmes, facilitated the training.
The NCCE intends to use every available forum to spread civic education teachings to Ghana's citizens.
