A female Student of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School alleged raped by a security man in the school. This happened 18th June, 2022 in the night around 10:00pm when the Students closed from prep. After the Prep, the Student with her male friend who was then escorting her to the dormitory left the victim with two female student who were also going to the dormitory chased by the security man and unfortunately she could not run for her life and forced to raped her in the same night. The victim raised her voice for help and some other students heard her voice and quickly went there only to found that she has been raped and quickly reported it to their house master.
The security man after this incident is no where to be found. The other student reported this to one house master and the Head Mistress Kate Annan Wilberforce while they also took the incident to the Police station, Kotokoraba branch. The student is in her second year and offering General Art. She has been rushed to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (Ntabeten) for treatment.
According to one reporter, said the students crosses the bridge to the campus the other campus to learn. Due to this, the students of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School has decided to go on for demonstration against the incident.
With this the Headmistress of the school has come out that if they go on with that, they will not allow to register and write their end of Wassce Examinations.
During the UTV Adekye Nsroma Hosted by Egya Kobina interviewed a female reporter from the school saying, the police command in Cape Coast said they can not say anything unless they report the case to the Headquarters in Accra before they can come to the school and investigate what went on in the school.
