Borussia Dortmund are closing in on the signing of Sebastien Haller from Ajax, with the two clubs on the verge of reaching an agreement.
Borussia Dortmund’s search for a successor to Erling Haaland is about to come to an end. The Black and Yellows are close to reaching an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Sebastien Haller. According to De Telegraaf, BVB will pay a fee of 35 million euros including bonuses for the 27 year old’s signature.
The newspaper adds that Borussia Dortmund are already preparing to bring Haller to Germany so he can undergo his medical tests. Dortmund have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker, and he is set to join on a five year contract. According to Sport1, the transfer should be made official this week.
Sebastien Haller was Borussia Dortmund’s preferred target to replace Erling Haaland following the latter’s move to Manchester City. The Ivory Coast international scored 34 goals in just 42 appearances for Ajax this season, and 11 of those goals came in the UEFA Champions League.
Haller is set to become Borussia Dortmund’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window. New sporting director Sebastian Kehl has led Dortmund’s squad overhaul this summer, with the likes of Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle and Salih Özcan already signed.

The Black and Yellows are due to begin their preparations for the new season next week, and they will be aiming to secure the signing of Haller before then.
Borussia Dortmund wanted to sign Haller in 2019 as well, but they were priced out of a move for him then. Now it looks like they will finally get their man this summe
