The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, feels the public authority's development of the National Cathedral is demonstrative that Ghanaians are being underestimated.
He says the State has been guileful with the task, portraying it as the greatest official embarrassment in the country's political history.
The lawmaker's remarks come after he guaranteed that the National Cathedral venture is a confidential element in opposition to claims that it is state-possessed, in addition to charges that a few individuals from the Board of Trustees have not been enlisted thusly and have been subbed.
"For this reason, we are pushing for a bi-sectarian board of trustees test into this entire National Cathedral decay, which is arising as the greatest official outrage. It is the most festering official heist in the whole history of the fourth republic. Furthermore, we feel that we should have an exceptional test to truly dive into every one of the issues because whenever the public authority makes guarantees, each point of it is a break", Mr Ablakwa said on Eyewitness News.
As of now, Mr Ablakwa's partner MP for Ashaiman, Ernest Norgbey, is set to sue the public authority for sole-obtaining the structural plan contract for the National Cathedral to Sir David Adjaye and Associates Limited.
The North Tongu lawmaker, who has been vocal on the development of the National Cathedral and the public authority's monetary responsibility, asks why such a strict undertaking is being built through assumed obscure arrangements.
"This is the Lord's task and there is no exemplary nature, no blessedness, no virtue and no work to show veneration to God and to regard our regulations. These are the issues that we are completely shocked about, and we are serving notice that as a council, we take an intense view of these issues, and we will dive into them and ensure that individuals answer the inquiries that must be responded to. If not, individuals won't take the Parliament of Ghana serious", he pushed.
In any case, the National Cathedral of Ghana has exposed the MP's cases, demanding that the National Cathedral has been enrolled as a confidential substance.
Its Executive Director, Dr Paul Opoku-Mensah in a proclamation explained that the undertaking is a non-benefit association possessed by the state.
