The Glazers, who control Manchester United, are divisive figures at Old Trafford.
The Glazers currently control every aspect of Manchester United. And according to sources, the Americans intervened twice recently to stop players like Anthony Martial and Marcos Rojo from leaving the team. The Red Devils' owners are currently in the news because they plan to withdraw profits from the team valued £11 million.
The Glazer family has owned Manchester United since 2005.
When the Americans first bought the team, there was a significant response, and after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, as the Red Devils have dwindled, they have continued to face criticism.
During his tenure, Jose Mourinho wanted to get rid of Anthony Martial because he thought the France international was unnecessary.
Joel Glazer allegedly prevented the 26-year-old from leaving since the forward was his "favorite player," according to reports.
Ivan Perisic was playing at Inter Milan at the moment, and Mourinho set his sights on a trade for him back in 2018.

But the current Roma manager was left without the Croatian international, and months later, after a 3-1 loss to Liverpool, his head rolled.
According to reports from 2019, the Glazers also stepped in to stop Rojo from leaving.
The goal of Everton, which wanted to host the World Cup final at Goodison Park, was to sign the Argentina international.
However, the Glazer family finally decided to keep Rojo at the team out of concern that the Toffees would become a top-four rival.
In somewhat shocking news, he was recently caught on camera smoking a cigarette on the field after they won the Professional League Cup. He would later leave to join Boca Juniors in 2021.
Fans criticized him for his behavior, particularly since he lit up in front of his young family.

Rojo no longer holds any prominence at United.
However, Martial is, and it will be intriguing to watch what happens with him considering his worrying decline in form over the past two years.
In the 2019–2020 season, the France international led all scorers with 23 goals scored under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, he has only scored eight goals for the Red Devils since then, and he labored for Sevilla last season while on loan.
With the Ajax player a key target for Erik ten Hag, United aim to improve their attack by bringing Antony to Old Trafford.

And the arrival of the international from Brazil would probably move Martial closer to the departure.
Even though that is the case, it's also conceivable that the 26-year-old may visit Old Trafford again to make a point.
Martial will be attempting to make the France team for the World Cup in the Middle East, which is scheduled to start in November in Qatar.
He might have more motivation when he returns to United to find his best form and make an impact under Ten Hag.

Additionally, he recently asserted that Martial had been "unlucky" throughout his time in La Liga, saying: "There's nothing malicious, he's been unlucky.
"Sevilla appears to be two different teams when compared to Sevilla following January.
"From speaking with (sporting director) Monchi and observing the city, Sevilla has a mentality problem.
They are accustomed to ruling the city and Betis to trailing by 20 points and failing to win.
"However, Betis battled them this year and took home the Copa del Rey. They won't say it, but Sevilla was impacted by it.
