According to rumors, Neymar has reportedly been offered to Barcelona by Paris Saint-Germain for £43.1 million.

The former Barcelona winger moved to Paris for £198 million five years ago, and in just 144 games since then, he has scored 100 goals for the team.

The Brazilian is no longer the face of PSG due to the spectacular ascent of Kylian Mbappe and the arrival of Lionel Messi in 2021, and he has yet to take home the coveted Champions League trophy in France.

Although Neymar's contract isn't up for three more years, it appears the French powerhouses are eager to sell the winger this summer and are apparently shopping him around to interested parties.

Sport in Spain claims that PSG "repeatedly" gave Barcelona the opportunity to re-sign Neymar for £43.1 million.

According to reports, the 30-year-old is ready to leave Paris this summer, but only if it allows him to reteam with his previous team.

However, given Barcelona's financial difficulties and their extensive list of transfer targets, which also includes Robert Lewandowski, Bernardo Silva, and Raphinha, a move for Neymar may be difficult to justify in the near future.

Last week, the Catalan club received approval to off-set a portion of its assets, including 49.9% of Barcelona Licensing and Merchandising.

Although they would have the opportunity to eventually repurchase their stake, the whole deal would net them about €200 million.

A second motion that would have allowed the club to sell 25% of its broadcast revenue over the following 25 years was also approved.

Lewandowski, a top transfer target for Barcelona who officially declared his Bayern Munich career to be "finished" last month in search of a new challenge, is anticipated to receive a chunk of this cash infusion.

The top teams in Europe have also been keeping an eye on Manchester City midfielder Silva, who, according to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, informed the champions of his wish to leave the Etihad.

While dealing with an ankle ailment from December through February, Neymar scored 13 league goals in 22 games for PSG as they won the title.

After agreeing to a massive contract extension with Mbappe last month, PSG would see a significant reduction in its pay expenditure if it were to offload the Brazilian.
