As his friend disclosed Sadio Mane's spectacular move to Bayern Munich, MO SALAH posted a heartfelt ode to the player.
The 30-year-old Senegal star signed a £35 million deal to join the German champions on Wednesday.
He signed a three-year deal at the Allianz Arena, where he'll work to support the Bavarians as they maintain their grip on the Bundesliga.
Salah, Mane's attacking partner and close friend, is heartbroken to see him go but leaves him behind.
The vacationing Egyptian hero shared four images of the couple over the years, including one commemorating their FA Cup victory last month.
It's been quite a ride, he wrote.
"Thanks for the fun times, and I wish you the best of luck on your future journey!
We shall all miss you, we say. Together, they had great success at Anfield. Salah joined Liverpool in 2017, a year after Mane left Southampton.
They have triumphed in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, Club World Cup, and Super Cup throughout those five years.
They also made it to two more Champions League finals, but Real Madrid defeated them both in 2018 and most recently.
Mane surely departs from the Reds amicably, and he displayed class by sending a letter to his former coach and teammates.
The new Bayern star revealed in a farewell interview with Liverpool: "After both clubs agreed [to the trade], I sent a long text to say goodbye to everyone, which is usual."
Although they and I both felt sad, it is a natural emotion. All we can do is accept it.
"I will come to the dressing room after every one of my games in Munich and I will watch Liverpool, for sure, because I am going to be Liverpool's No. 1 supporter forever," he said. I just want to let them know I'll be keeping an eye on them and wish them luck.
