NDC LOOKING INTO GUIDE FOR INNER RACES

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it is investigating the guide for its inner races following the expansion of the cutoff time for the enlistment of new individuals into the Party.

 

The enrollment work out, which started on May 21, 2022, was planned to end on June 7, 2022.

 

Peter Boamah Otokunor, Deputy General Secretary, NDC, told the Ghana News Agency that the activity was stretched out for around two additional weeks, and in this manner, disturbed the underlying timetable for the Party's inner races.

 

"The activity finished throughout the end of the week so we are exploring the underlying timetable," he said.

 

Mr Otokunor said plans were in progress to survey the current guide and guaranteed individuals from the Party that the new rules would be declared soon.

 

The NDC's new enrollment enlistment practice was faced for certain difficulties in certain voting demographics, with some Party individuals asserting that they had been denied admittance to the Party's ID cards despite consenting to the necessities.

 

Around fourteen days prior, the Party sent an extraordinary team to deal with the enrollment and issuance of participation cards in certain electorates in the Central and Bono East locales.

 

The Party expressed endeavors to determine the difficulties in certain electorates, including Agona East and Techiman South, had demonstrated "unmanageable," consequently the move.

 

The Techiman South Taskforce was driven by Professor Joshua Alabi, a main individual from the Party, while that of the Agona East was driven by Mr Ako Gunn, a Deputy National Communications Officer of the Party.

 

Per the underlying rule, the NDC should have coordinated its Branch races from June 15 to July 2022 - and the consequences of that political decision were gathered from August 1 to August 7, 2022.
