Popular Nigerian musician Adeleke David also known as DAVIDO has offered a fully funded scholarship to a Sunyani senior high school pupil who had 8A's in his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) but couldn't further his examination as a result of luck of funds.
The Sunyani Senior High School student, Morro Suleyman, got As in eight different subjects in last year 2021 Wassce examination.The exams which qualify many West Africans for entry into different universities to pursue various courses.However,Suleman the needy student who completed Sunyani Senior high school last year could not further his education because of a lack of funds.
His plight led to his story being shared on social media platforms including micro-blog Twitter by concern netizens .On getting to know the story, Davido known in his private life as David Adedeji Adeleke in a post on Twitter said Suleyman had been given a scholarship to Adeleke University, a private-owned institution by his billionaire father located in Ede, one of the popular towns in Osun State, Southwestern Nigeria.
According to davido,
“We have contacted Suleyman who lives in Ghana and he has been given a full 4/5 year scholarship to Adeleke university .. accommodation and allowance included ! God bless y’all,” Davido posted.
The university was established by Davido's multi-millionaire father Chief Adedeji Adeleke through the Springtime Development Foundation (SDF), a philanthropic, non-profit organisation established by Chief Adedeji to assist less privileged students in obtaining a quality higher education.
Reacting to the good news, mr Suleyman the beneficiary and his parents extends their heartfelt gratitude to Davido and his family for the love and support shown them.
According to them they have nothing to pay him only prayer is what they pray for Allah to guide and protect him from all evil in his endeavors as well as any evil eye watching him.
