Tehillah Experience has finally found grace with a headlining sponsor for the first time since its beginning eight years ago, after delighting attendees with wonderful music and performances at the annual Gospel event.
In order to lead sponsor the concert set for Sunday, August 14 at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Calvary Temple, Spintex Road, Accra, Ohemaa Mercy and her team will collaborate with Taabea Company Ltd this year.
Ohemaa Mercy said that Tehillah Experience is one of the most popular events but, oddly, the event hasn't been graced with any headline sponsor since it began roughly eight years ago, in an interview with Graphic Showbiz on the new sponsorship arrangement.
"Joe Mettle sparked debates last week over big businesses' lack of support for the gospel music community.
"Sincerelly, this lack of patronage is seriously affecting our performances, but I am grateful that Taabea has come to sponsor Tehillah Experience this year.
"My colleagues and I are really relieved, and I hope more universities will join us as well.
"My team will attest to the struggles we have each year as we plan Tehillah Experience.
"Sometimes the financial demands are so great that you want to give up, but you recall the worthwhile goal it is achieving and you choose to let it triumph over the difficulties, the speaker stated.
Ohemaa Mercy claims that Tehillah Experience has grown significantly during the past eight years. Gospel music has not only provided fans with quality tunes, but it has also provided a platform for spiritual encounters that have had a great impact on people's lives.
The current VGMA Gospel Song of the Year winner is optimistic that this year's event will provide the greatest number of heartfelt testimonies.
The Ote Me Mu singer claimed: "My DM is full of stories of individuals whose lives have transformed just because they attended Tehillah Experience, and this has been my biggest inspiration."
Famous gospel musicians will play at this year's Taabea Tehillah Experience, which has the theme of "Clouds of Glory," including South Africans Benjamin Dube and Lebo Sekgobela, as well as Ghanaians Joe Mettle, MOG, Efe Grace, Kofi Owusu Peprah, Ceccy Twum, Pastor Isaiah, and Rama.
