League Finishes Since the Start of Pep Guardiola's Coaching Career

One of the best coaches in the continent is recognized as Pep Guardiola. At Barcelona, where he started his career, he was promoted to manager in 2008. He has collected 33 trophies for his teams' accomplishments during the course of his 14 years as a manager. Out of these titles, ten league championships have been won. Every league he joins seems to see him drop to the bottom. He led Barcelona from 2008 to 2012, a period in which they captured three La Liga championships. In his final year with the club, when he placed second, he had his best performance. He joined Bayern Munich in 2013, and during his tenure there, he helped the club win three straight Bundesliga championships.

He has played for four English Premier League championship teams since joining Manchester City in 2016. After placing third in the English Premier League in his first season with the team, he went on to win two consecutive championships in his second and third seasons, finished second in his fourth season, and then won his third and fourth crowns in his fifth and sixth seasons.

Stefan Ortega, a goalkeeper, is available for free move to City.

The 29-year-old Ortega has been with Arminia Bielefeld since 2017 and was their top choice during their relegation from the Bundesliga last season. The German is considering his options after having his contract expire this summer and is open to go to the Etihad.

After loaning James Trafford to Bolton and selling Gavin Bazunu to Southampton, City is content to add another goalkeeper to their lineup. Scott Carson has renewed his contract with the team, and there hasn't been any indication that the arrival of Zack Steffen, who has played largely in domestic cup competitions as Ederson's No. 2 for the past two seasons, would result in Steffen's departure.

President of La Liga suggests

Despite Barcelona's financial difficulties, La Liga president Javier Tebas has suggested that Bernardo Silva might potentially transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona.

The El Clasico club's financial difficulties have been well-documented, particularly after they struggled to register Sergio Aguero after acquiring him from the Blues. Some of the club's best talents, including Lionel Messi, have left because the Catalan team could not afford to keep them due to high player wages.

Tebas thinks that Barcelona may still sign Silva and Robert Lewandowski without further harming their financial situation. Cucurella only recently joined the Seagulls and scored his first Premier League goal against Manchester United in a 4-0 blowout in May. Although a price has not yet been set, Football Insider reports that the 23-year-old has accepted personal terms with the Premier League winners.

Joao Felix, an attacker for Atletico Madrid, is reportedly someone Pep Guardiola wants to bring to the Etihad. Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, and Gabriel Jesus all have hazy futures, and at least one of them is expected to leave this summer.

Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, and Riyad Mahrez are still available as wide players for City, but Guardiola would want to add to his supply if several attackers go. According to CNN Portugal's Bruno Andrade, the Catalan coach is interested in Felix, but a move for him would only be made if both Jesus and Sterling left.

Pep Guardiola wants Joo Félix at Manchester City, so that may not be the only significant reinforcement, he tweeted.

However, trading largely depends on exits.

Trading, however, mostly rests on Gabriel Jesus and Sterling's departures. It involves creating room for an attack and, more importantly, balancing financial fair play.
