The former president John Dramani Mahama has praised Pe Awiah Awumpaga II for his sterling leadership qualities as the paramount chief of the Paga Traditional Area.
Mahama said that through the distinguished leadership of the respected chief, the Paga area has witnessed tremendous growth in health, education and tourism in the past 50 years.
Speaking at Paga-Pio’s 50th-anniversary commemorative thanksgiving Mass in Paga, the former president added that the shining example of the chief has had a positive impact on not only his traditional area but the Upper East Region and Ghana as a whole.
Mahama said the chief’s exemplary leadership has proved very useful in resolving national development issues, adding that he was a worthy and reliable partner for d evelopment.
