Cristiano Ronaldo, a legendary player for Manchester United, is apparently prepared to leave the team since new manager Erik ten Hag isn't making any headway in the transfer market.

13 years after departing in a move that at the time set a world record to join Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, the Portuguese captain made a dramatic comeback to Old Trafford last summer.

The intended results were not achieved when he returned to the Red Devils. Despite making 38 appearances across all competitions and scoring 24 goals, Ronaldo was unable to aid the team.

United had a terrible season, finishing sixth in the Premier League.

Ronaldo's signing was ultimately criticized because of concerns about his ability to play the pressing game and general team chemistry.

In order to make up for losing Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich is considering signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

The 37-year-current old's contract with United is about to expire, and he has expressed interest in playing another season in England after the new manager has rebuilt the team.

Although stars like Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata all left the team, the rebuilding process hasn't yet begun because no new players have been added.

Darwin Nunez preferred a transfer to Liverpool despite United's interest in the Uruguayan. Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona, a midfielder, and Antony of Ajax, a winger, have both drawn interest but have not yet received firm offers.

Jurrien Timber, a Dutch defender for Ajax, was also wanted by the club, but former United manager Louis van Gaal advised him against making the move.

Ronaldo is claimed to be extremely upset with the club as a result of the lack of advancement, and Record, a Portuguese news source, claims that he is prepared to go.

The former Sporting Lisbon and Juventus star reportedly warned United executives to "up your game or I'll quit" in a scathing letter.

If there are no more moves, Ronaldo is rumored to have told his close friends that he will start seeking for a new team.

Ronaldo stated on the club website at the time of Ten Hag's hiring: "What I know about (ten Hag) is he performed a wonderful job with Ajax, that he's an experienced coach. But we must give him some time.

The way he wants things to be needs to alter. Naturally, I hope we succeed because if you succeed, Manchester as a whole will succeed as well. I hope the best for him.

"Both the players and the fans are delighted and enthusiastic. I wish him the best and let's hope that we succeed in winning awards the following year.

Will Ronaldo start for United in the upcoming campaign? Time will only tell.
