Jordan Henderson, Liverpool's captain, has been blamed for former teammate Sadio Mane's departure from the club, and the criticism comes with a twist.

Jamie O'Hara, a football commentator, criticized the captain's silence throughout the affair, believing the player should have done everything possible to keep the Senegalese at the club.

O'Hara sees Mane as an essential component of Liverpool's potent threat, whether in attack or defense, and believes that allowing him to go for Bayern Munich without a fight was a mistake.

The ex-midfielder believes Liverpool made a'mistake' in moving the star and is 'amazed' they let such a vital player leave.

The deal appears to have gone through because the Liverpool board of directors believed they had sufficient replacements in emerging talents Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

However, their promise does not mask the strain they will confront in replacing Sadio Mane's proven abilities, performances, and goals.

"I am astonished that they let him go," O'Hara was reported as saying.

"He's still a fantastic player." He is still regarded as one of the world's top players.

"I can't believe they didn't consider giving him the money he deserves." When you're a top player and you see players earning £300,000 to £400,000 per week, even with those exorbitant fees, Mane deserves to be paid that much as well.
