Gov't gives ¢25m for public basilica construction.

The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Finance has approved the arrival of ¢25million for the development of the National Cathedral in Accra.

 

A letter dated 31st March and kept in touch with the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) by the Minister of Finance Ken Ofori Atta said "Authority is thusly conceded to deliver the amount of 25million Ghana Cedis as extra seed cash to the National Cathedral Secretariat for the development of the National Cathedral for part installment of the remarkable case from RIBADE."

 

Scores of Ghanaians have been giving to the development of the basilica.

 

For example, the National Chief Imam, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu contributed GHC 50,000 to project.

 

He made the commitment on Thursday August 26, 2021.

 

VP Dr Mahamudu Bawumia approached religious associations to intentionally contribute assets to fabricate the public church building.

 

Dr Bawumia communicated certainty that the structure of the basilica would elevate the brilliance of God.

 

He was talking when he joined the Adabraka Official Town part of the Presbyterian church of Ghana to praise the 30 years of service of the District Minister Rev. Kwadwo Owusu Sarpong in Accra on Sunday August 22, 2022.

 

"I need to cause one point before I to plunk down. As all of you realize there are endeavors to construct a public church. We genuinely should fabricate the church building, it is a deliberate activity, any individual who needs to contribute can contribute. I have contributed and I will offer all the more so I urge everyone to consider it and let us construct it. It isn't for anyone, it is for Ghana and for the greatness of God"

 

Fire up Ameyaw Ebenezer Saka, Head of the Church Relations with the National Cathedral task likewise pursued Ghanaians to help the undertaking with their contrubutions.

 

Fire up Saka told Dzifa Bampoh on the First Take on 3FM August 2 that the public basilica will give the travel industry area in Ghana a facelift and furthermore make occupations for Ghanaians.
