Despite the exits of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has failed to sign a player.

It's arguably obvious that the heavyweights at Stamford Bridge will need to buy at least two centrebacks and a lethal attacker to restructure their roster ahead of next season in order to compete with other top elite clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool.

The North London club has been linked with a number of high-profile players, like Jules Kounde, Pau Torres, and Raheem Sterling, who may undoubtedly help Tuchel transform his struggling squad into an unstoppable force, but nothing has changed from daily talks.

However, the Sun Football reports that Lens has offered their world-class defender Jonathan Claus to Chelsea on a £10 million deal as a potential replacement for Rudiger.

Claus, who has a one-year contract left, is anticipated to be sold, and his agent has visited Chelsea in an attempt to secure his services.

Ideally, the 29-year-old can be of tremendous assistance to Tuchel because he has expertise and is a less expensive option than other targets such as Jules Kounde.

The return of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan on a season-long loan has left Chelsea short on attacking alternatives. When Romelu Lukaku spoke to Sky Italy about his lack of playing time at Chelsea and how the system did not benefit him, he and manager Thomas Tuchel burst out laughing. Thomas Tuchel was frustrated to see Chelsea 'throw away' another lead in Everton's draw with Chelsea.

Chelsea fans and manager Jose Mourinho were outraged by the remark, especially given their recent £100 million investment in the Belgian. This article will look at four players who Chelsea could sign this summer to replace Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea have begun talks with Manchester City over a prospective deal for England striker Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea are interested in recruiting Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, as the English forward is looking for a new challenge and is available for roughly £60 million.

To replace Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea might look to recruit Ajax right winger Antony, who has been brilliant this season for Ajax, and Tuchel would have no difficulty starting Werner as the striker with his creative skills.

After the Everton striker ruled out a move to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have entered the Richarlison chase.

Richarlison, the Brazilian striker who helped Everton avoid relegation last season and is eager to leave this summer, is third on my list. Richarlison is a fantastic and established Premier League goal scorer, and he would be one of the best additions of the summer if Everton reduced their asking price of £70 million.
