BANK OF GHANA LADIES ASSOCIATION DONATES TO VOLTA REGIONAL HOSPITAL

To improve the delivery of high-quality healthcare, the Volta Regional Hospital, Hohoe has received donations of medical supplies and equipment from the Bank of Ghana Ladies Association (BoG Ladies).

 

The donations, which included a brand-new Mindray DC 30 ultrasound scanner, bedsheets with the Bank of Ghana logo, printing supplies, gels, and patient monitors, were made during a brief ceremony in Hohoe.

 

 

 

"The call on us for an ultrasound scan machine was to us an emotional appeal and a life-saving necessity that required an urgent provision," said Ms. Ivy Adjimah, President of the BoG Ladies, during her speech at the ceremony. "Given the importance of the machine, especially its assistance with diagnosis, and consequently, the existing clinical deficiency due to its unavailability. Sincerely, I must say that we are really happy.

for being able to fulfil our commitment by donating a brand-new Mindray DC 30 ultrasound scanner to the Municipal Hospital to improve its healthcare delivery. The ultrasound scanner can also be utilised for Elastrography and Doppler scans in addition to obstetrics and gynaecology. The heart and adjacent blood arteries can also be examined using it.

 

 

 

In addition to the ultrasound equipment, we are also providing a patient monitor, which measures, records, distributes, and displays biometric parameters including heart rates, SP02, blood pressure, temperature, and more. You might find it interesting to note that our capacity to connect with another area of our country gives us a lot of happiness from what our charitable  one of the visions that the organisation holds. Specifically, broadening our charitable initiatives to include areas outside of Greater Accra

 

Region”.

 

 

In order for the hospital to assist more people inside and outside of the Region, Ms. Adjimah urged the hospital's management to take excellent care of the donated products and display a high level of maintenance culture.

 

 

 

She thanked the Bank of Ghana's Governor and Deputy Governors as well as all of the women who make up BoG Ladies for their enthusiasm and readiness in accepting and approving the charitable effort and for afterwards contributing their fair share.

BoG Ladies' contribution was one of several interventions made by the Bank of Ghana in the Volta, Oti, and other areas of the country, according to Mr. Victor Akakpo, the Bank of Ghana's Volta Regional Manager.

 

 

 

He cited the provision of equipment to the Regional Hospital's Eye Clinic, the donation of equipment to the hospital's physiotherapy unit, and the giving of computer tables to the Hohoe Midwifery Training School as some of the bank's community service initiatives in the Hohoe Municipality.

 

Others include fixing the outdated ambulance and building 20 new toilet facilities at Gbi Bla, as well as building a 6-unit water closet for the Volta School for the Deaf and a pavilion for Alavanyo Senior High Technical School.
