Asante Kotoko's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah, revealed that the team hasn't chosen whether or not to travel abroad for preseason.

Last season, the Ghanaian giants made a preseason trip to Dubai, which helped the team win the Ghana Premier League championship at the conclusion of the football season in 2021–2022.

In an interview with Asempa FM on Friday, Nana Yaw Amponsah stated that while the club is considering traveling abroad, nothing has been determined.

"We are debating taking a trip. We haven't made any decisions as of yet, but we will. If we decide to travel for preseason, we will present our plan to the board, "the Asante Kotoko CEO said."

The Kumasi-based team is currently working to bolster its roster in preparation for the upcoming football season, when it will play in the CAF Champions League.

Maxwell Woledzi, a defender from Ghana, was acquired by Vitoria Guimaraes of Portugal from Nordsjaelland.

Maxwell Woledzi, a young player from Ghana, has been signed by Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes from Nordsjaelland ahead of the upcoming campaign.

After concluding favorable discussions and completing his medical examination earlier this week, the 20-year-old signed a long-term contract with the team.

The highly regarded defender played in 24 games for the Danish team in all competitions last season.

After joining Nordsjaelland in 2019, Woledzi made a total of 33 appearances for them, scoring one goal and one assist.

The center-back was reported on the official website of the Danish club as saying, "I am really grateful for the time I have had with FC Nordsjaelland."

"I want to express my gratitude for allowing me the chance to visit the club and play for it at that time." It has been quite a journey. I have experienced both highs and lows, and I have significantly improved both as a player and as a person. "

Woledzi joins Black Stars teammates Gideon Mensah and Abdul Mumin as the third member of the Ghanaian national team to play for a top-flight Portuguese team.
