A few hours after the arrest of senator Ike Ekweremadu in London, there have been different rumors regarding his arrest. A well known Nigerian activist has made a lot of statements many of which have not been confirmed.

Deji Adeyanju on Thursday, June 23, shared a statement posted by an individual whose name is identified as Oseni Rufai.

Without providing evidence to back up his claim, a young man identified as Oseni Rufai alleged that Ike Ekweremadu tried to bring a young boy to the United States through illegal means.

He went on to allege that Ike Ekweremadu' s daughter needed a kidney and it is because of that that he (Ekweremadu) brought a young boy aged 15 years old to the United States.

His statement reads in part " Ekweremadu's daughter needed a kidney, so he brought in a 15-year-old homeless boy with illegally obtained passport stating the boy was 21, The boy was promised a better life. The former Senate President has been denied bail. "

A few hours after his claims, some Nigerians who do not seem to understand what is going on have reacted to the statement. Below are some reactions you need to see.

Saleem " Igbos always Condemning Igbos all the time and never there brothers keepers. If he was coming from the North we will all stand by him regardless of any accusations laid against him or crimes he has committed. Other tribes and Nations will do the same."

Nefertiti "That's what crossed my mind yesterday. The next step would be for these politicians to invest in medical infrastructure and do this within the Country, without being checked. Based on our culture, that's the next logical step."

"It's not fair. It is the only logical outcome of a culture like ours. If you sit back and analyze it, you will see it very clearly. Ike Ekweremadu isn't the evilest of Nigerians. He is simply a Nigerian, raised in the Nigerian culture, with money and resources."

Arinze" Just a few days after publicly campaigning against Obi and this is happening. I feel for the daughter and what she's passing through and I wish her a quick recovery. It is a big sacrifice they tried to make to save their daughter's life but it wasn't done the right way."
