Ghanaian goalkeeper Jojo Wollacot has completed his transfer to Charlton Athletic.
Ghana goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott has finished his transition to English League One side Charlton Athletic, GHANASoccernet.com can report.
The 25-year-old marked a three-year arrangement to join Charlton from League Two side Swindon Town on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
"I'm more than happy. It's the kind of club that you generally need to be at. You generally have the desire to play for such a high-profile club. Clearly strolling around the arena you can feel the greatness of the club. I'm truly glad to be here," he said.
"Ben being here gone with it a simple choice. We had a great season the year before. Clearly I know how he needs to play and I know how he believes that his goalkeeper should play. I feel like, for the following stage in my vocation, he can truly foster my game."
Wollocat's stock rose after a line of great exhibitions for the Black Stars as well as Swindon in League Two.
He was named the best goalkeeper in the division as he made Team of the Season toward the finish of the mission.
Since making his presentation for the Black Stars in November 2021, Wollocot has been Ghana's best option goalie.
He played in every one of the three Ghana's games at the Africa Cup of Nations and was essential as the Black Stars equipped for the World Cup.
In the mean time, Ben Garner, who worked with Wollacott in the past communicated thoroughly enjoy catching the Ghana worldwide.
"It's one more solid getting paperwork done for us. Clearly, Jojo is a player that I know very well having worked with him last season. I think he is a player with enormous possible moving advances too and, once more, he fits the person and the sort of individual that we need to bring into the football club," he said.
