According to Vincent Ekow Assafuah, a member of parliament for Old Tafo, certain hospitals involved in the current Agenda 111 project have reached the lintel stage.

In response to a question on the breakdown of the Covid Funds' use presented by the Finance Minister in Parliament on Wednesday, June 23, he made this statement on Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, June 25.

According to Mr. Assafuah, 700 has been released for the project.

He pointed and said, "I can tell you that a lot of the hospitals have reached lintel level.

When asked to list the locations where the project had reached the roofing stage, he said, "It may also be the two years later and nothing has been done about."

The Akufo-Addo administration launched the Agenda 111 initiative to construct hospitals all around the nation.

According to Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, the government was careful with its expenditure of the Covid monies in order to protect lives and preserve employment.

Every dollar raised, according to him, was wisely used to strengthen the nation's capacity to contain the pandemic.

He said that the epidemic was the worst shock to the economy to date, which is why the nation decided to use all of its resources to attempt to limit its consequences on people's lives and companies.

The minister denied that the government was eluding accountability in response to inquiries about how monies raised to help the Covid-19 fight were used.

"Mr. Speaker, I think that this presentation reflects the government's dedication to transparency and accountability. All monies that were allocated, mobilised, and used have been fully reported on. As a government, we continue to maintain an open-door policy and appreciate every chance to work for the good of the country," he added.

He said that resources of GHS 18.19 billion were mobilised, while GHS 12.04 billion were expended.

He said the sum of money used to stop the Covid-19 pandemic's spread and lessen its negative consequences on people's lives and property.

According to Mr. Ofori-Atta, the money was spent between April 2020, when the virus hit the nation, and May of this year.

He also dismissed worries that the Covid-19 spending were inconsistent, saying that whatever had been mobilised and spent had been accurately recorded and accounted for.

The minister was responding to inquiries about the country's resource mobilisation and real spending for the epidemic.

He stated, "I desire to debunk the perception that there have been some discrepancies in government statistics on Covid-19," adding that the records at the ministry and the spending figures cited by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in an earlier address to the nation were in agreement.

In order to safeguard lives and lessen the consequences of the epidemic on the economy, he advised the public to ignore rumours about data errors.
