Ghana U-23 defender Robin Polley has made a donation to the the Soccer Disco Dancer Academy during his visit to Ghana on holidays.

The Heracles defender donated football apparel from his club, boots and others for the club owned by for Ghana star Awudu Issaka.

Most professional football players are enjoying the summer break, but some players are rolling up their sleeves.

He recently made children happy again with shirts from his employer Heracles Almelo.

"This gives me goosebumps," says 23-year-old Polley.

Although Polley was born and raised in Rotterdam, his parents are from Ghana.

Robin is the son of Prince Polley, who shone in Rotterdam in the 80s and 90s as a striker for Excelsior and Sparta.

Polley has a strong bond with the African country. He tries to do something for Ghana in every holiday and make the trip whenever possible. "When I'm there, I feel at home just like in Rotterdam."

He was part of the Black Meteors team that failed to progress to the Tokyo Olympics games in 2022 at the African tournament in Egypt in 2019.
