According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are interested in extending Marcus Rashford's contract.
Rashford's £200,000-per-week contract is slated to expire next summer, but Manchester United has the option of extending it for another year.
If he signs a new contract with Manchester United, the England international will see his £200,000-a-week salary grow.
Despite his disappointing showing last season, Rashford is anticipated to play a crucial part for the team under Erik ten Hag next season.
Rashford has been working hard on his fitness while on vacation in the United States to get ready for the new season.
After sliding down the pecking order under Ralf Rangnick, the 24-year-old pondered his future at the club, but was persuaded to stay after discussions with Daley Blind and Donny van de Beek regarding Ten Hag.
"For sure, they will have to handle the matter from a contractual standpoint because if Rashford stays at Manchester United this summer, they will need to initiate negotiations to extend his contract in the coming months," Romano told GIVEMESPORT.
"He's out of contract in 2023, with an option for another season, but this is something that needs to be addressed.
Since breaking onto the forefront as a youth, he has scored 93 goals and provided 57 assists in 03 games.
Meanwhile, Rashford has been told that he must play for Manchester United next season.
Marcus Rashford needs to step up for Manchester United this season," Paul Merson told the Daily Star.
Until recently, everything was smooth sailing for him, but his confidence has faded, and it's been difficult for him."
I'd like to think he'll be back next season, but if he can't regain his confidence, you start to worry."
All of the work he did off the field for good causes certainly took a toll on him mentally as well." However, I believe he will bounce.
