In November 2020, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo along with the Asantehene cut turf for the development of the $330 million Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal (BILT) project close to Kumasi on fifth November 2020.
Started by the Ghana Shippers' Authority (GSA) and the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA) during the 1990s and recently called the Boankra Inland Port, the BILT project was purposed to make a dry port as an expansion to the Tema Port.
The task, which will be finished in 2023, is supposed to build the development of labor and products in the nation and furthermore work with travel exchange among Ghana and the landlocked nations of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
