Tropical Cable and Conductor Limited (TCCL), Ghana's top producer of electrical cables and conductors, celebrated its silver anniversary in Tema under the theme, "25 Years of Impacting Ghana: New Ideas, New Products, New Markets," with the introduction of a market-first product.
To ensure great signal strength and safety, the new product, Coaxial TV Cable, is a form of communication cable specifically made with a pure copper core, insulation, a pure copper wire braid surrounding it, and encased with Flame Retardant Low Smoke PVC.
It is typically used to link TV and satellite antennas to television sets in different locations, including households and companies. CCTV camera connections are also made.
The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, introduced the product and praised Tropical Cable for being the first manufacturing company to locally manufacture coaxial TV cables in Ghana. Dr. Bawumia was the Special Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker for the 25th Anniversary launch.

It is also the first company in Ghana to manufacture these coaxial TV cables as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The official inauguration of Ghana's first domestically produced Coaxial TV Cables is truly a wonderful honour and privilege.
He reassured manufacturers that the government is aware of the difficulties they face and that it is taking a variety of actions to assist address these issues.

He continued by saying that local enterprises, especially Tropical Cable & Conductor Limited, are anticipated to benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (TCCL).
Dr. Tony Oteng-Gyasi, the founder and executive chairman of Tropical Cable & Conductor Limited, spoke about the company's 25-year journey and said it has been intriguing and full of lessons.
