Davis Ansah Opoku, the Member of Parliament for Mpraeso, has advised Ghanaians to purchase Dzata cement as part of efforts to expand locally owned enterprises.

This would aid Ghana in achieving its actual industrialization objective, according to Mr. Ansah Opoku.

On June 23, 2022, when the Leadership of Parliament visited the company's location, the congressman made the statement.

"I've never been here, but after being here today and observing the work being done, I'm quite pleased, and I believe that we should all support the company's expansion. To truly advance Ghana's industrialization objective, we must all purchase the goods. I must say, I'm really amazed," Mr. Opoku Ansah added.

On the same call, the whole leadership of Parliament asked the government to support the expansion of the business notwithstanding Ibrahim Mahama's political affiliation as the owner of a factory.

They consequently promised Dzata Cement the backing of the House of Parliament in an effort to get the firm to hire more Ghanaians.

Along with other members of the Trade, Works, and Housing Committee of Parliament, the leadership team comprised Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu and Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu.

Ibrahim Mahama, a businessman and the CEO of Dzata Cement, praised the lawmakers for their support of an indigenous firm like Dzata Cement.

He asked the committee to promote more Ghanaian enterprises by fostering an atmosphere that is favourable to their success.

He asserts that the government can do this by lowering the cost of power for business.

He clarified that some of the raw materials required to create cement are already being mined locally by the firm, which would, in his opinion, significantly lower manufacturing costs.

"The current cost of power must be addressed in order to prevent it from impeding the initiatives we intend to undertake in Ghana in the near future. There are several potential sectors, like mineral, that may be investigated to give Ghanaians thousands of new jobs.
