Surveys for the country's business schools, hotels, private healthcare facilities, retail and business banking, and insurance will shortly be conducted by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana.

This came following the CIMG Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), which was successfully performed in April 2021 for the Ghanaian banking sector.

The reports should be made public in the final quarter of 2022.

These investigations will be conducted and published yearly, according to the president of CIMG, Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee, who spoke during the 32nd Annual General Meeting.

He emphasised that the World Consumer Rights Day, which falls on March 15 each year, has also been given approval by the Governing Council for the Institute to start recognising it as a particular advocacy platform to enhance the movement to support consumerism and consumer rights.

A 32nd AGM will be held, and CIMG will undertake surveys for the insurance business and others.

CIMG will step up public education on marketing techniques.

Along with urging marketing students at both public and private institutions of learning to view CIMG as an aspirational professional group, Dr. Kasser-Tee also spoke about enhancing education and igniting a membership drive to boost member retention and loyalty.

Since the CIMG PMQ's debut, we have kept up our relationships with conventional universities, technical institutions, and other tutorial colleges that act as PMQ Tuition Centers.

"As a result of those interactions, students from different Accredited Study Centers were incorporated as interviewers for the various survey initiatives. They may acquire the fundamentals of marketing research as a result of this, which also gives them professional marketing experience. In order to recognise and recognise the top marketing students for the academic year 2021, we also helped Koforidua Technical University and Accra Technical University.

Additionally, according to Dr. Kasser Tee, CIMG is making a conscious effort to guarantee that all operational instructions and the students' handbook being created for the CIMG professional tests will be in compliance with the SDG target of reduced inequality.

A 32nd AGM will be held, and CIMG will undertake surveys for the insurance business and others.

In an effort to advance marketing education and practise across the continent, he observed, "there have been significant relationships with the following international universities around the continent."

They consist of the Zambia Institute of Marketing, the Marketing Society of Kenya, and the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN).

CIMG will intensify its drive for Made-In-Ghana goods.

The President added that his organisation will continue to intensify its Made-In-Ghana campaign.

Our ongoing dedication to advancing the Made-in-Ghana mission is closely tied to these SDGs. We have consistently encouraged this deserving cause by encouraging our members to consume Ghana-made food, beverages, clothing, and services.

In the event that there was no Ghana-made alternative, we strongly promoted buying Made-in-Africa items. This, in our opinion, is one of the most effective methods to ensure that the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area are important to us as Africans, he continued.

Since we, as an institute, are not embarrassed by this, we are entitled to request, before entering into any commercial agreements with hotels, for instance, that they provide us with proof of the sources of their food and beverages. We shall be eating and drinking made in Ghana items tonight, I can guarantee those of you who are physically present here. Members of the Governing Council are all dressed traditionally for this AGM, which is one reason for it.

CIMG Awards, 32nd

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of the importance of marketing for corporate success, to encourage practitioners to reach higher levels of professionalism and quality in marketing, and to honour organisations for their tenacity in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic last year.

There is every indication that the bar will be set a little higher this year, according to Dr. Kasser-Tee, who noted that the post-event compliments received demonstrated the event's great success. I thus extend an invitation to all members to participate actively in this year's awards.

Way ahead

In order to ensure that every business school in Ghana is accredited, Dr. Daniel Kasser Tee of CIMG stated that his organisation will expand institutional partnerships with both public and private colleges.
