As a footballer or athlete, retiring is one of the most difficult things to do. Leaving something you enjoy and have done for a long time can be difficult.
Players frequently have conflicting emotions about leaving the game, but most of the time, they must listen to their bodies to determine the best time to retire.
Players, such as Sergio Aguero, are sometimes forced to retire due to injuries or health issues. Sometimes their age is the most important factor in their decision to retire.
Controversial Carlos Tevez, an Argentine cult hero and striker, recently chose to hang up his boots after a long and successful career.
Moussa Dembele
Following a stint in the Chinese Super League, Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele announced his intention to retire from active football in February 2022.
The 34-year-old central midfielder stated that he made the decision to spend more time with his family.
Dembele was one of the world's best central midfielders in his prime, with few players capable of running the game from box to box like him.
In full flight, the former Tottenham Hotspur man was a joy to watch as he glided past players with ease.

Laurent Koscielny, former Arsenal captain, has decided to hang up his boots and call it quits after 18 years of high-level football.
The 37-year-old central defender chose to retire after playing for Girondins de Bordeaux in the French Ligue 1.Koscielny made his professional debut for EA Guingamp in 2004 before moving on to Lorient five years later. In 2010, he was signed by Arsene Wenger's Arsenal after only one year with Lorient.
The Frenchman quickly established himself as one of the Premier League's best central defenders. He spent nine years with Arsenal before joining Bordeaux in France. As an Arsenal player, Koscielny won the FA Cup in 2014, 2015, and 2017.
Koscielny made 51 appearances for the French national team. He was a member of the squads for the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and Euro 2016. He narrowly missed out on a spot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup due to an injury he sustained in the months preceding the tournament.
Jermaine Defoe
Jermain Defoe, a former Tottenham Hotspur and England striker, has earned the right to call himself a Premier League legend.
Shortly after returning to Sunderland, the Englishman announced his retirement from professional football in March 2022.
Defoe spent the majority of his career in England, with clubs including Portsmouth, Sunderland, Bournemouth, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur.
During his time in the Premier League, the 39-year-old was one of the league's most prolific strikers, scoring 163 goals in 496 appearances.
He played for Toronto FC in the MLS and Rangers in Scotland, where he won the league title in 2021. He was a member of Tottenham's last trophy-winning team in 2008.
Defoe was a Three Lions regular, appearing in 57 games and scoring 20 goals.
He played in both the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 Euros. After a brief absence from the national team, he announced his retirement from international football in 2017.
Aleksandar Kolarov is number two.

During his career, Tevez played for Corinthians, West Ham United, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Shanghai Shenhua, and Boca Juniors.
Except for West Ham, the striker won titles with every club he played for. He won the UEFA Champions League, as well as the Copa Libertadores.
Tevez played for Argentina's national team for 11 years, from 2004 to 2015. He scored 13 goals in 76 appearances for La Albiceleste and helped his country win Olympic gold in 2004.
