According to rumours, Erik ten Hag could not have as much money as anticipated to rebuild Manchester United this summer.
Before the transfer window even opened, United was connected to a plethora of new stars. However, Ten Hag may face market restrictions after new CEO Richard Arnold acknowledged the club had "burned through funds" during the previous ten years.
The Sun claims that Ten Hag may only have £100 million to play with this summer, before any transactions. And it might work against United's extensive wish list, which includes numerous high-value deals.
Frenkie de Jong is apparently United's top target for the summer, and the Red Devils and Barcelona have supposedly reached a £68 million deal.
De Jong worked with Ten Hag at Ajax, and the Red Devils have plans to sign Brazilian winger Antony, another of Ten Hag's ex-players. However, Ajax are asking for £69 million.
Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly are anticipated to be on the market as United would need to sell to pay for both deals.

With little result, United has recently made large investments.
Harry Maguire cost £80 million, Romelu Lukaku cost United £51 million, and Paul Pogba cost £89 million in 2016. Pogba will leave on a free transfer this summer.
As heard on film, Arnold said: "We've spent all of our money. We spent more on players than anyone else in Europe, a billion pounds. We need to resolve this because I'm not happy with where we are at the moment."
According to The Sun, Old Trafford's top brass is reportedly not planning to award Erik Ten Hag the kind of money given to past managers.
The fact that Manchester United has "burned through cash," in the words of director Richard Arnold, will probably have an influence this summer even though Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were supported in the market.
Ten Hag will reportedly receive £100 million to spend as he plans a significant renovation.
