The Azpilicueta dossier at Barca continues to ignite the chronicle. While Barca could land the player, the Blues have set conditions to let the player slip away to his homeland.

Cesar Azpilicueta has had the club's backing to let him join Barca. It was with the new management that the Spaniard had a gentlemen's agreement.

At the end of the contract in June 2023, the Chelsea Blues intend to recover money on this transfer. Chelsea do not want to reproduce the same error with the Rudiger file.

According to information from Marca, Chelsea are ready to let the player go for a cut of 15 million. On vacation, the Spaniard will discuss her future with her president next week. Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, wants to keep his players. A case to follow

But according to The Athletic, his new contract with LAFC will bring him no more than £1.3million in wages during his 12-month stay at the club.

He agreed to take a £27.5m pay cut to secure his move to the California side.

The deal also includes an 18-month option that would increase his salary and make him a designated player if triggered next summer.

Bale's staggering earnings at Real last season were'more than double LAFC's total wage bill'.

The Major League Soccer clubs have fended off competition from a host of teams around the world.

Jonathan Barrett, Bale's agent, claims there were 'four or five serious offers' for the 32-year-old.

"There could have been more, but we narrowed the scope for him-he wasn't going to Italy or Spain, for example," he said.

The Cardiff City club have said they are "very keen" on signing the Welshman.

Cardiff owner Vincent Tan said: "We were very, very interested. He would have been a big blow for us." It would have been great for Gareth Bale to play for his hometown. All Welsh people would be very happy if Gareth Bale returned home and played for Cardiff.

"Personally, I think LAFC's offer was too good for him to turn down. But originally he really wanted to come, the money was not the problem”.

Getafe and DC United were also interested in transferring Bale before LAFC reached a deal.
