Lisandro Martinez, an Ajax defender, is drawn to playing in the Premier League as Arsenal improves their £34 million offer in the face of increased interest from Man United, while the Gunners continue to speak with Leeds United about Raphinha.

Ajax rejected Arsenal's original £30 million offer for Lisandro Martinez.

The Gunners have responded with a bid of £34 million plus up to £38 million in add-ons.

Ajax is refusing to accept less than £43 million despite Manchester United's desire.

Additionally, Mikel Arteta's team is still in contact with Leeds United regarding Raphinha

As Arsenal tries to sign him, Lisandro Martinez is drawn to the idea of playing in the Premier League.

The defender's club Ajax rejected the Gunners' initial £30 million deal, so they came back with a revised offer of £34 million extra + additions worth up to £38m.

Despite the fact that Manchester United is also interested in the Argentine international, Ajax is holding out for about £43 million.

While Arsenal is interested, Lisandro Martinez is drawn to the Premier League.

The team led by Mikel Arteta has resurfaced with a bid of £34 million plus add-ons for the defender.

Martinez has stated that he is content playing for the Dutch champions and that he has a high level of support from both teammates and fans in Amsterdam.

Out of respect for the team and fans, he has been content to maintain a low profile, although he is said to be closely monitoring the interest in him.

If the clubs can reach an agreement on a fee, the 24-year-old would be eager to take the chance to play in the Premier League.

Ajax, though, is refusing to accept less than £43 million despite increased interest from Man United.

Despite having three players looking to leave, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, and Eric Bailly, United must first sell in order to pursue Martinez.

All of United's present efforts are being directed around reaching an agreement with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong, and the team is also hoping to sign Christian Eriksen for nothing.

Following their acquisition of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, Arsenal is still in talks with Leeds United for Raphinha and wants Martinez as their primary defensive reinforcement.

This week, the Gunners are also continuing their negotiations with Leeds United for winger Raphinha.

According to Sportsmail, Arsenal and Leeds will meet this week to discuss a possible £50 million Raphinha trade.

While Tottenham and Chelsea were anticipated to make proposals, the Brazilian also has attention from Newcastle United, but it is believed that Arsenal is his Premier League club.

To help Arteta's preparations, Arsenal wants to end their summer transfer activity as soon as possible.
