Nottingham Forest have reportedly signed Nigeria striker Awoniyi from Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin
English Premier League recently advanced side Nottingham Forest have supposedly signed Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi from Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin for a club-record charge.
Yet again joined Union Berlin in 2021 after a successful seasonal credit spell which procure Liverpool €7.5, a €6.4M in surplus when he was first signed in 2015 from Nigeria-based club Imperial Academy, the 24-year-old has gotten back to the Premier League for a detailed €17M and a five-year bargain surpassing club's highest-paid transfer of €15M in 2018 for Portuguese assailant Joao Carvalho.
Awoniyi to review associated with 20 goals last season in 43 appearances across all competitions and was the sixth highest scorer in the Bundesliga with 15 goals in 31 association games - assisting Union Berlin to the fifth spot with finishing which guarantees the Europa League football next season without precedent for 20 years.
Joining "the Tricky Trees" this summer, he becomes the first club signing. "It's always been my fantasy to play in the Premier League", said Awoniyi following his turn. "Having spoken to [Forest boss] Steve Cooper about our ambitions and taking a gander at Forest, with its extraordinary history, it's a club that I need to be essential for".
