I'm humiliated by NPP's inability to address Ghana's difficulties - Nana Akomea
Previous Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea, has communicated disillusionment about the disappointment of his party to address the many difficulties it vowed to settle assuming it comes to control.
He said that he generally feels humiliated at whatever point a general media of himself, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia or President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is played back to show a portion of the commitments made that poor person been satisfied.
In a Good Morning Ghana interview observed by GhanaWeb, Akomea showed that despite the fact that he feels humiliated, people who were delegated to lead the different areas of Ghana's economy ought to be considered responsible for the disappointment of the NPP to satisfy the commitments it made to Ghanaians.
"At the point when I come and stay here and you play declarations that were recently made (by the president and the VP), I'm humiliated in light of the fact that these are not promulgation, they are things that we said we will do.
"… you need to ask the people who are in control (why the public authority has neglected to accomplish its commitments). Since the things we said we will do, there are areas and there are individuals in control… There have been individuals responsible for farming in the past government that we said were struggling whenever food costs went up. There were individuals accountable for finance and whenever the cedi fell and we said they were not doing effectively. There are individuals still accountable for these areas," he said.
Nana Akomea, who is the current Managing Director of the State Transport Corporation (STC), emphasized that the messages he conveyed as the Director of the Communication were for the party and he can't be considered answerable for them.
"I didn't convey those things for my sake. This is the thing the party said it will do. In this way, most likely to understand what's befalling the lease guarantee you need to go to the Ministry responsible for lease or accountable for lodging," he noted.
He, nonetheless, demonstrated that the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine War play had a significant impact in the public authority's inability to accomplish a portion of its commitments, adding that the powerlessness of the political authority of the country to change Ghana's economy isn't exceptional to Only NPP.
