The diplomatic mission staff being thrown out are blamed for working for "foreign intelligence"

Bulgaria will oust 70 representatives of Russian diplomatic missions, the nation's Prime Minister Kirill Petkov told columnists on Tuesday, asserting that a considerable lot of the staff individuals worked "for foreign intelligence administrations."

The state head wouldn't give any further insights concerning the choice, refering to classification.

"I can say that an enormous piece of [the diplomats] have worked for foreign intelligence administrations and their diplomatic job was only a cover," Petkov said.

He focused on that the action ought not be viewed as a demonstration of hostility against the Russian public.

"I might want to tell every single foreign country, not simply Russia, that anybody who neutralizes Bulgaria's inclinations will be ousted back to the country they came from," Petkov said.

The state leader said that every one of the ambassadors would leave on a similar plane on Sunday.

A representative for the Russian international safe haven in Sofia told the TASS news organization that among those being removed are the mission's delegate head Filip Voskresensky, as well as the tops of the departments general in the urban communities of Varna and Ruse, and the overseer of the Russian social and data focus. The office general in Ruse stays with next to no ambassadors or specialized staff, while the one in Varna is nearly without staff, the consulate's representative said.

The diplomatic mission later declared that the consular branch of the consulate and the department general in Varna are suspending tasks, while the department general in Ruse is shutting.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Bulgarian specialists' activities would be met with "a fitting reaction."

The 'diplomatic conflict' between the West and Russia has altogether escalated since the send off of the Russian military hostile in Ukraine in late February.

In March, Bulgaria removed twelve Russian representatives, blaming them for disregarding the Vienna Convention.

In late April, the Russian Foreign Ministry uncovered that since the send off of Moscow's tactical activity in Ukraine on February 24, around 400 representatives have been removed from 28 nations. Russia sees the ejections as "unpleasant" activities, or, in the expressions of Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as demonstrations of "crudeness."

Moscow has recently cautioned that it would fight back to every such move.
